For instance, if you upload a map of the first floor of your home, but only want to scan the living room, simply take your sample points in the living room and then stop the scan. NetSpot will ignore the rest of the map.
This is helpful if you wish to divide up your area into zones. You can set up zones for different sections of your map and scan just that particular area for each zone. Keep in mind, that if you decide to expand the survey zones later, it is smart to rescan all the zones, as wireless data is very sensitive to timing and conditions.
